Our major charitable project is the Kittery Reads literacy program.
This project aims to improve local literacy by elevating interest in student reading. Our multifaceted project is currently working in several areas:
- Distributing free kids’ books at the Kittery Holiday Parade.
- Encouraging family reading for students entering kindergarten.
- Providing incentives for students to read more; and expanding as the program matures.
- Presenting targeted gift books to graduating high school seniors.
