Traip Academy Graduates
Presenting Targeted Gift Books to Graduating High School Seniors.
For RW Traip Academy graduations since 2017, Kittery Rotary After Hours has provided each senior a book related to their Capstone project. We couldn't do that in 2020 due to the pandemic; each 2020 graduate received a copy of Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go!
In other years the presentations have been in person during graduation practice. Watching the students’ reactions has been as gratifying as watching the kindergarteners’ excitement.
We began Kittery Reads with book presentations to kindergarten students at the start of the 2016 school year. Those kids are the Class of 2029, and we are looking forward to presenting those same students with their Capstone books when they graduate!
